7 rules for a healthy lifestyle

More and more often, many people are thinking about the need to lead a healthy lifestyle. Some believe that it will help get rid of extra pounds, others place hopes on a healthy lifestyle associated with a comprehensive normalization of health. Still others consider it a fashionable trend and therefore rush to join.

A healthy lifestyle is based on seven basic rules:

1. Physical activity. This does not mean professional sports, but only daily physical activity. For example, visiting fitness centers or dance studios. Swimming, cycling and walking in the fresh air are also suitable. The minimum number of steps per day is 10 thousand

2. Balanced nutrition. Many people, due to being busy at work, studying and lack of time, switch to the fast food system, that is, replace cooking with fast food. Some use semi-finished products. A healthy lifestyle involves proper nutrition, which consists of consuming healthy foods enriched with vitamins and minerals. These are vegetables, fruits, meat and dairy products, fish, various cereals. It is important to follow the principle of eating often (4-5 times a day) and in small portions. Emphasis should be placed on light food, such as salads, soups, porridge. It is also important to follow a diet and include still water in it, which must be consumed at least 1.5 liters per day. Tea, coffee, soups do not count!

3. Hygienic care. It would seem that this point does not require explanation, but many believe that hygiene is only washing hands, brushing teeth and caring for the body. This also includes hygiene of individual nutrition (we exclude carbonated drinks, chips, crackers, etc.), hygiene of clothes and shoes (things must be whole and clean), hygiene of the home, which implies regular tidying up and maintaining cleanliness.

4. Good sleep. Ideally, a person should go to bed at the same time every day, that is, follow a routine. An adult should sleep at least 7 hours, a child – 8 hours. Before going to bed, it is recommended to take a walk in the fresh air, and also to avoid interacting with gadgets that negatively affect the functioning of the nervous system, two hours before bedtime. This will help you relax and fully immerse yourself in sleep.

It is also advisable not to eat heavy food at night. It should be eaten no more than two hours before bedtime.

The maximum temperature in the room should be +18 degrees. In the warm season, you can leave the windows open for fresh air. It is also important to air out the home for 20 minutes 3 times a day.

5. Health procedures (hardening). Hardening is a powerful health remedy. With its help, you can avoid many diseases and maintain your ability to work for many years. Hardening plays a particularly important role in preventing colds. Hardening procedures reduce the number of colds by 2-4 times, and in some cases help to get rid of them altogether. Hardening has a general strengthening effect on the body, increases the tone of the central nervous system, improves blood circulation, and normalizes metabolism.

The main conditions are the systematic implementation of hardening procedures and a gradual increase in the strength of the impact.

6. Quitting bad habits. Bad habits include, in particular, alcohol abuse, smoking, and drug addiction. All of them have a negative impact on human health, destructively affecting the body and causing various diseases. Smoking tobacco is one of the most common bad habits. Over time, it causes physical and mental dependence. First of all, the pulmonary system suffers from tobacco smoke, the lung defense mechanisms are destroyed. Alcohol has a destructive effect on all systems and organs. It affects the brain, heart, liver, pancreas, and kidneys. It also has a detrimental effect on a person’s psychological health. Not only physical, but also psychological dependence develops.

7. Healthy psychological and emotional state. It depends on the state of the brain and is characterized by the level and quality of thinking, development of attention and memory, degree of emotional stability, development of volitional qualities. Simply put, this is achieved when a person is passionate about something: he has a favorite job, interesting leisure, he sets new goals for himself, he feels fulfilled and needed.
